Saab car stereo

Just bought a old saab 900 and was wondering could I shove the regular stereo from my old car in its place as its shagged or do I have to get a "saab" stereo? If so is it a difficult job? Thanks

yeah you can put any stereo in it. if you were to put a saab unit in it, it would have to be programmed to the car but any other unit can easily be fitted

My 900 has a pioneer unit in it, installed by the previous owner so it must be possible.

Hi, I have a Saab 900 1989 in great condition except for the panel in which the stereo is mounted. It's a botch job with a Pioneer unit. I just need the panel (see attached Jpeg).
Can anyone help?
