    Hi
Need a few opinions please. My boyfriend's grad is coming up and I was planning to wear a black dress (pencil skirt style) below the knee with a fitted beige suit jacket. My boyfriend thinks it looks a bit old and too much like an interview outfit!
Can anyone recommend a suitable outfit please? Only have a couple of days left til the Event!
    Thanks

The dress sounds fine, but if you wanted to 'liven it up' a little, you could use accessories to do so, such as a nice belt and shoes, and a bag. Because it's black, you have so many options to choose from, (red, blue, gold, silver, pink, etc.) so go with something you like. The right belt and accessories would really turn what your OH deems an 'interview' dress into something completely different.

You could also choose a different coloured jacket, or ditch it in favour of a cardi if you like so that it loses the 'interview' feel.
