    Competitors will be gathering from 12 noon on Saturday at Watling Street Bridge. The mens race is off at 1.30 and the Ladies start at 2:15 (thanks MadM)

    Latest I heard was there was concern over the height of the tide and whether the boats will make it under Butt bridge. So the start might have to be on the early side , in other words still water or a filling tide. A day for the backmarkers maybe? So long as the flow is in the right direction in Mulligans we'll be fine

    keep checking the facebook open sea site for up dates. by the way putting the speech away for another year anyway! just got me handicap 4.30
