St Anton for Christmas?

    Hi,

Looking for opinions on a ski resort for Christmas week. Thinking seriously of St. Aton this year. We've been skiing 10 years (once a year!), generally stick to Reds, with the odd black, and some blues when we're feeling lazy! From what I've read on other posts here, St Anton is fairly advanced (?)

It's a family holiday (no young kids!), and 1 member fo the family doesn't ski, preferring to stick to coffee shops and walks.

We like towns with some life, shops, coffee shops, bars etc. We don't want Ibiza in the snow ;-)

The other resort in the running in Kitzbuhel, which we've been to before and really enjoyed. We've spent previous christmases in St Johan (didn't like), Soll (OK), Elmau(great for access to good skiing, but not a great place to stay), Zell am See (enjoyed).

Any thoughts on what St. Anton would be like over Christmas?

    Thanks.
