I've been looking forward to this. It's gotten great reviews seemingly everywhere. Has anyone seen it yet??

Yep. Must say I LOVED it. I found it fresh, original, funny and generally entertaining. Best movie I've seen this year so far

Been waiting for this one to come out on DVD (is it out actually?). Wanted to see it in the cinema but either a) it wasn't on or b) I wasn't looking hard enough. Sounds like a fascinating piece of work, so must track it down!

I started a thread on this back in January but I still haven't gotten around to seeing it.

It is out on DVD, I saw it in HMV for €19.99 the other day (it is €15.49 on Play.com and they have the Blu-Ray version also €16.99). I'm a big fan of Banksy so I think I'll pick this up during the week.

I absolutely loved it. The film is more of a portrait of Guteria and the shenanigans that Banksy put him up to, then it is about Banksy or the street art scene itself, but he is such an off the wall character that he makes a very interesting subject and. of course, the perfect McGuffin for a film that sets out to prank the Art world.
I was surprised at the very limited release it received, it was on in Cineworld for all of five minutes and played for a week or two in Smithfield. I think the DVD is available from Amazon now, I'd reccomend it, Exit through the Gift Shop was easily one of my top 5 movies of the past 12 months.

Just coming on to also recommend this one. Prob the best new film/doc I've seen this year. I'm not even a big Banksy fan or anything but I will defo be returning to it for another watch.

Wow this is a brilliantly entertaining film :) A lot of fun, makes fascinating commentary about street art while never losing focus on the lunacy of Mr. Brainwash.
The Disneyland raid is hilarious, but my favourite part were all the artists dismissing Guteria's show.
A fun documentary that definitely has something to say, populated by larger than life characters. Probably the best film about contemporary art - and the tension between art and commercialism - we're going to get!

This is an absolutely brilliant film.
Fesh, original, tongue in cheek humour, good pacing. It has everything.

Just another example of why Banksy is one of the premier artists of our time.

Personally I don't believe he even directed it, but that's a discussion for another day.

Well there's no real director of it, they've just decided to go with his name.

Much of it seemed thoroughly improbable, but I really didn't care. It was enjoyable, fascinating, and we were able to get a glimpse into a world in which few of us would get to see.

it's definitely genius...i can't stop thinking about it
