I'm currently looking at purchasing a new TV. I think I've managed to narrow it down to the two TV's outlined above. I wondering what peoples opinions are on the these tv's. Out of two which would you go for? Cheers, Shane

I had a look at the 40ex700 in a sony store and noticed backlight inconsistency (bright / dark spots) watching the golf

the philips reviews also aren't the best

how about a samsung or panasonic ? or the sony ex500 ?
