Just had an Amstrad DRX-890 Sky+ HD box fitted last week. Sticker on outside of cardboard box reads *250GB of personal storage*. Is there another 250GB reserved for Sky Anytime or ideally, is there any way of verifying the Hard Disk size?

Total size of hard drive is 500GB, forget about ever accessing the other 250GB though...

Consider yourself lucky - mine's an old Thomson (with component output) and only has 160GB.

Yes but a better box once you upgrade the power supply and hard drive (as you only loose 140GB to Anytime).

Even if I disable the Anytime service do I still not get the benefit of the full 500?

No, that's why I said it in the above post.

Thanks for the info and one more question if I might. I notice there's an RJ-45 ethernet port on this box. Does this give me any extra functionality?

    Not yet.
May be used for Sky Player?
