i wear them skirmishing, but they still fog up on me when using fogtech wipes. the strap makes them feel more secure, but makes them fog more.

you can remove the grey padded section off them helps the foggin issue by giving a lil more air room without being to open so they still fit securly tested it last week in predator improved on what i was experenceing

The link to those cheaper goggles is actually: http://www.arcosafety.ie/products/3B6000/293412/Bolle%20Tracker%20II%20Spectacles

For some reason the first link was just to the main site :/

I think it works out as about €12 with free delivery.

Just worried that something that cheap won't give sufficient protection or am I being over cautious?

both exactly the same product so protection is the same, and from what i read acro seem to be an on the level shop, price difference is of course down to a number of factors

I've heard that 'Cat Crap' anti fog is effective, so maybe that's a solution to the fogging? Don't want them to fog up mid skirmish as you cant take them off to defog unless you're in a safe zone.

    Hang on.

He told you he conducted a test on goggles with an airsoft device firing with a muzzle energy of 5 Joules?

No No you heard him right we did test a set of my old bolle goggles and yes it was @ 5j BUT and this is A BIG BUT, it was done over in sweden @ BERGET 2010 with one of the lads over there using his sniper gun and it did stop the bb getting true but it left marks on them but withheld 8 shots and only let one true cos 3 of them where in the same place hope that clears that up :D:D:D

Speaking of airsoft over 1J not allowed here bring it else where. And lack of back seat modding please just report the post.

Well I ordered the goggles so hopefully I get them before the end of this week. Great value - less than €13. Just need to get some face protection now.

Do shemaghs/scarfs provide much protection? I also see people wearing kind of medical style face masks that just cover your nose and mouth. Any idea where I can get those or are they worthwhile?

Any word on these, where they any use and how fast was delivery ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,408 ✭✭✭VonLuck

Delivery was quite fast if I recall correctly. I haven't had the opportunity to use them in a skirmish but they are very comfortable and great value for money. Comes with a detachable elastic strap which is very useful. Kind of a rubber around the inside of the frame so it touches your face and it is very unlikely for a pellet to enter. Comfortable too!
