Hello,

Just wondering if anyone has heard from Co Cork VEC? Applied back in early June for grant, college registration due next week, rang grant but they said they wouldn't be processing any application for the next 4-5 weeks!!!!!!!

In total dire straits...received grant before for undergraduate, but now going back after break for 5 years to do post graduate...

What are the options for people who haven't got the money for the fees and haven't received grant approval yet....?

Can your college hold off for a few weeks based on the fact that you're waiting on the grant? ask them and see what they say - explain the situation

Failing that the other options are

Credit Union Loan
College - Student assistance fund or welfare fund

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me?
