    hi ,

I spilt a small amount of beer on my keyboard. The next day wasn't working. However I tried again a couple of months later and to my astonishment it was working.

Now it is knackered again. I so miss it as the keyboard I have now is just not as good.

Question is guys : can i purchase a part to fix this problem or is my keyboard had it;s best days

    Please help IT intelligent people.

    hi matt,

the media centre sony vaoixl100, it is the keyboard that I got with it. It's a sony vaoi keyboard also. No power is going through it . it has a built in display in the top right hand corner that when you switch on, the display lights up and shows how much battery is left. When I switch on now, since the incident , nada is happening.

Silly question but have you tried replacing the battery?

So after initially not working, it then worked for a while a couple of months after the beer and then stopped working again? All you can try is to clean whatever surfaces you can get at, especially around the battery area and the battery contacts. If you can open it up and also clean inside that might even help. Dunno what else to suggest.
