Like it so far ;) Any idea if it's going to be part of an existing family (Gallardo, Murcielago etc) or a brand new one altogether?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,830 ✭✭✭RandomAccess

    Hope its good.

Have been disappointed with the way they stuck the Gallardo v10 in so many Audi's.

Hopefully they will keep a reasonably unique v12 and stop diluting the brand.
    A w12 etc.. no thanks.

V shaed solar panel on the concept vehicle. Wonder if it's gonna look like that.

first part is correct, but the name has not been confirmed and I doubt they will use the historic name for a new model...

A solar panel on a V10 supercar? Gimme a break

    Its gonna replace the Murcielago.
The Murcie SV is the last Murcielago.

The replacement was supposed to be out last year but I think due to the recession its getting delayed...

Should be a cracker anyway. Lamborghini never disappoints!

They are quite vulgar noveau riche but I'm glad they exist. Anyways Ferrari aren't too far behind with all their merchandising and Ferrari-world nonesense.

    Such vulgar looking cars.

Can someone ban this guy please? :D

Lamborghini create the only cars I'm actually taken by. I'm not a car person at all, never was, but Lamborghini's have always had something about them that just makes me want one! It's more a piece of art to me than anything else, in a strange way :P

The more vulgar and offensive, the better. People like yourself should stay out of discussions like this, you're clearly happy with your Toyota Avensis.

    Its gonna replace the Murcielago.
The Murcie SV is the last Murcielago.

True the SV is the last Murci but you might be surprised with what they've created. I'm hoping it's another monster V12 but their newsletter states:
Lamborghini. Sound and light. Paris 2010.
Discover the way to the future of supersports cars.

So with their investments in R&D with hybrids and new technologies it could be anything. At least one thing's for sure, it's guaranteed to look epic!

That concept vehicle was not rendered by Lamborghini.

But something that's bothering me is why the rear of the car would indent into a "V" shape in the centre? But where else could it be?

Yea, it's a concept vehicle focusing on weight reduction.

Yeah, it'll be a sad day when a lamborghini's design features "green" technology.

There's speculation about it, the Murcielago replacement isn't due to be displayed until the Detroit motor show. But they're doing client previews at the factory in Nov.

Which is the "Jota"? The Murci replacment or the lightweight concept?

The "Jota" is what the press are calling the Murci replacement.

Teaser 4 of the new concept.

    gorgeous car,
they mention carbon fibre a lot in the press release though, so i assume it will either be insanely expensive or never built in that form, although a weight of 999kg is impressive, my saxo is 920kg:eek:,
still need a lotto win to get a lambo:(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,213 ✭✭✭PrettyBoy

sorry, but that thing looks hideous, and i was really looking forward to seeing it :/

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 181 ✭✭CompleteCarGuy

Saw Sesto Elemento up close last night - absolutely fierce looking car - pretty basic inside and Lamborghini are saying that this 999kg car won't be going into production, but will form the spirit of their future models.
