Motorola Milestone - Low on internal memory

Anyone else getting this? The internal memory is tiny, so if you have a good few apps installed your screwed. There is no option from what I can see of saving to SD card either (for apps that is). I have loads of space on my SD card, but can't install anymore apps due to low internal memory. Any way around it?

Root your phone. I have the same error, but I have over 500MB's of free space...
