Getting married at the Irish College Rome

    Hi everyone,

My partner and I recently got engaged. Picked our ring saturday and collecting it next Saturday as it needed to be re sized. Actually, thanks to everyone here for the much needed advise, i really had no idea about rings. In the end I chose a beautiful 3 stone Platinum ring. It's funny as i thought i would prefer a white gold solitaire but i knew when i saw this ring it was the one :) Can't believe i've to wait all week withhout it :(
Must also praise Keanes jewellers in Limerick who were absolutely fantastic and very helpful.

    OK my question is..

We are thinking of getting married in Italy (We've just returned from a beautiful holiday there). I have just been looking up the Irish College in Rome for weddings and am very impressed with it. It would probably just us going although not decided yet. Has anyone got married there? I would love any information and opinions.
Also, we have a little girl (6). I'm trying to think of a way to phrase this.. would this be 'frowned upon'? :o Obviously she is very involved in this but i was wondering are there any issues for couples who have children? If there was any problems or general negativitely then i would need to re think and wouldnt dream about getting married there :):mad:

Thanks in advance to everyone :)

I have been to a couple of weddings in Rome, Irish college was nice but I felt it was a bit unpersonal. 8 couples got married the same day as my pal.
My sis got married in Basilica Di San Silvestro Church in Rome, highly recommend it - www.sansilvestroincapite.com - you should google it, well worth a look
