How long should I give myself to get out of airport?

    I'm flying into Birmingham airport next Friday and I was wondering how long should I give myself between the plane landing and booking a time to travel on the train from Birmingham?

    Trains from the airport to Birmingham New Street are very regular and only take about 10 minutes. It might take a while to find your way to your next train in Birmingham. It's a big station and will be busy on a Friday.

    Sorry, I gave inaccurate information in my post. I'm not looking to take a train from the airport to Birmingham, I'm looking to take a train from the airport to Northampton or Daventry

    I'm just wondering how long I should give myself to get my luggage and get to the train station at the airport

    I did this a few times and it takes between 30 - 45 minutes from the time the door to your plane opens to get to the station. I never had checked bagage though so maybe add another 15 minutes for that?
