Tight Hamstrings when running

I've been experiencing tight hamstrings when running over the last couple of weeks. It's never happened before and I'm trying to find out the cause.

I stretch after every run/track session. I haven't increased training, have been pretty consistent. If anything my weekend runs have become shorter.

I have got new runners in the past couple of weeks. I changed brand. Has anyone ever experienced this after new runners?

Is it just a case of more sretching to alleviate the problem?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I think you should keep trying to figure out the cause. If you have not increased training, have you changed anything else, more hills, greater speed, different surface?

It is possible that your new runners are the cause. Check if the heel drop (difference between heel and midfoot height off the ground) is higher/lower in the new shoes? Maybe some other small change in the new runners is altering your biomechanics. Do you have the option of going back to your old shoes for a while?

In any case, I would have expected your body to have adjusted after a few weeks. I would recommend continuing to stretch especially after training and if it persists see a physio or physical therapist.
