    Hi,

I'm about to undertake the PGDE in secondary education in Trinity and I'm hoping to take Irish as my minor pedagogy. I only have it as a first year subject so I won't be qualified by the teaching counsel straight off. I was wondering does anyone know of a course that I could take, preferably alongside the Dip, that would enable me to be qualified in Irish straight off? I have a good standard and spent my first year in college living in Irish-speaking accomodation, however I don't have Irish to degree level.

    Thanks in advance,
    Luke.

You must have Irish to degree level to be qualified, end of.
I think UCD do modules which would bring you up to degree level.
    Best of luck. :)
