Mount Carmel is the best because you get to mount Carmel.

I'm glad that with our quality education process our schools websites look like a retarded five year old made them.

OP asked a serious question - quit Larkin around.

OP - the one where they wear the shortest skirts is usually the best* - unless she's a munter in which case the other one is the best.

*For the sake of appeasing my parole officer, this only applies to leaving cert year.

OP, if your child goes to Mount Carmel I suggest they offer to update the website, good project to learn some skills

Even youngsters can do a good job at it

    Great poetry section too. Here's an example;
    JUNKIES

    Junkies aren't all that bad.
It is the drug pushers that make me
    mad.
They sell drugs to anyone they see

. They'd sell them to kids or you or to me.
A lot of people are on drugs.
They need a lot of money.
    So they turn into thugs.
I hope this will never happen to me.
But I can't see the future you see.
    With E, Heroin and cocaine.
People who take these must be insane.
Drugs wreck families and Friendship too.
It wouldn't be nice if it happened to you.
Don't even try to sniff Glue
This is a thing that can harm your body and brain too

Nice to see that the literary future of Ireland is looking so bright.

    Did ok for this guy:

See children, drugs are bahhhd and if you don't believe me, ask ya dahhhd (ask him man)
and if you don't believe him, ask ya mom
She'll tell you how she does 'em all the time
So kids say no to drugs
So you don't act like everyone else does
Then there's really nothin else to say
    Drugs are just bad, mmm'kay

    :pac:

Both of these schools are on the ratemyteachers.com site, which is as good a way as any about finding out what the kids there are like as well as the teachers.

    Sample comment:
she is a grate teacher she has a grate way to teach

Larkin is way over-subscribed this year and waiting lists are unlikely to be reached, but Mount Carmel (King's Inns) may still be enrolling.

Glad the Larkin website offends so many of the AH brigade. My life is complete.

Don't know about Mount Carmel, but Larkin has some right scumbags in it from past experience. Can't speak for the whole of the school, but certainly a few scumbags in it.

Aunt of mind went to mount carmel about... 12 years ago. Was very good. She did quite well. I never heard of any problems from her about it. I say send the girl there.

12 years is a long time in the life of a school and all schools have their share of scummers. It's how they deal with them that counts.

Visit both schools and see what you think.

I agree. I was merely putting what I know. Though I do know a girl that does/did go to it (I think she finished about two years ago) and she was a scummer though not really one to cause trouble.

OP, if you do ask, ask the first years (well second years) what it's like, they'll be usually most honest what it's like for a new entrant.

In all fairness, it does say "If pages are not fully displayed, change your screen".
