Hello , I have recently started school again in third year

I'm doing the J.C in the following subjects

    Technical Graphics (Un-decided)
    Metalwork(Honor's)
    Woodwork(Un-decided)
    Maths(Honor's)
    French(Honor's)
    English(Honor's)
    Science(Honor's)
    Irish(Pass)
    Geography(Honor's)
    History(Un-decided)
    C.S.P.E(Un-decided)

P.E , S.P.H.E and Religion have no examination's in my school and are therefore irrelevant.

    Questions.

1.I am generally worried , have i attained enough knowledge and notes from the last three years?, should i be worried?, what should i expect?

2.I am having a problem with study , i don't mind the 2-3 hours required at home , but basically i have no idea where to start or what to study , what should the times for each subject , should it be in proportion to what i want to do in the future?, or in proportion to what i am having trouble with?

3.I live in a rural part of Ireland in a village of no more than 50-100 people , What are grind's exactly?, Where can i get them?, Should i get them?

Just some questions i need answer's to. Thanks.

First off,you have a whole year ahead of you thats a huge amount of time to gather the knowledge you need. There's no harm in getting exam papers as soon as possible to get used to the layout of papers and how they phrase questions. You may not be able to most of them because you wont have covered everything yet so don't worry about that.

I never did all that study in proportion stuff.I knew what i need to study.I knew my weak subjects which i studied more at.I started all over again in relation to study..back to 1st year stuff.Don't go every detail..again look at the exam papers..look what topics the question..some things you might study may not come up.Start off slow, its good that you don't mind doing 2 or 3 hours a lot of people cant(like me),so stick at that there's no need to do anymore than that..increase it closer to exams if you wish

Grinds..they are basically a small class...a one on one session with someone who knows what there talking about..a teacher, someone who has done the exam before..someone who knows the topic inside out.Ah you can find a lot of people offering them on here..theres a grinds forum on the JC page..check it for someone near your area!..I wouldn't get them at this early stage unless your finding tough..like perhaps those undecided subjects you have?..closer to the pre's id get them..maybe a month or more before them..once or so a week

All the subect papers have a cycle of five years. Don't really bother with last years questions because they won't come up. Instead look at the four years before that. Grinds can also be given in study schools across the country so there sohuld be one in your local city. You can also join the supervised study that they may offer which helps a huge bunch. Mark the important points from 1st and 2nd yr with a bright highlighter. this will help you find them easier the night before an exam. Write out paragraphs of what you're going to say in the jc oral as well. It'll prepare you for the questions. Good Luck!

Yes, there is an oral, it's just not compulsory, it's up to each school whether or not they choose to have do the oral's for JC
