so i think i got malwared

    so i just update some divx player , and now this started poping up and after a few internet searches ... i could just stop it from poping up but , there is a file call ieframe.dll and a few searches showed that could be malware or it could be something belonging to internet explorer , i use firefox and that whats bugging me


    any help would be appreciated

    Best place to start would be here. If that fails run dds and post the log here and an expert will be along to have a look.

    That sort of message is very common and it'd be no harm to show it. It's probably just the Divx upgrade trying to show you something on the Divx website.

    download software call malwarebytes 1.46.Run a full scan and post the log.

    I just looked at the image you attached(really should have looked first time) It seems the update is not fully compatible with your windows setup, I doubt it will do any harm but if it really annoys you uninstall the update. A lot of updates dont agree with Microsoft products and a lot of Microsoft updates dont agree with certain packages.

    thanks for all the replies .... i eventually clicked "show me the message "
    The backround went a light blue the graphics for the messsage was like 95 windows... its all happen so fast but it said it wouldnt pop up again


    did download malwarebytes 1.46 did a quick scan found nothing then did a full scan and found 4 Files Infected

    That all sounds okay so. Have you got an antivirus program running and up to date? Now just try and stay away from dodgy poker programs and Google Gadgets ;)
