So this week we had murmurs from the minister for justice about taxing ATM withdrawals in order to prevent tiger kidnappings.

Given this frankly absurd and ludicrous excuse for extracting money from us so as to pay for certain busto banks I was wondering

A: What else will they try and tax ?

    and

B: How will they dress it up to make it sound like it's for our own good ?

The aim of taxation is to extract the maximum number of feathers from the goose with the least amount of hissing.

Whatever you think of, I bet they'll already have pondered over it.

As for how they will try and tax us next... anything that is popular in the media is generally up for taxing.

2 Car Crashes in a week? We'll make learners do more lessons, higher insurance...of course all these are making a huge profit for the government via taxes.

*Insert anything else popular among the Joe Duffy squad*

Waste water pipes from houses will be metered & you'll be charged by the kilo for the waste you produce.

It will be the first time that a tax will be actually called a Sh*t Tax in name.

    It won't be a tax. It's a "charge".

They did. Hence the phrase "daylight robbery" and the bricked up windows you sometimes see in Georgian houses.

What they'll think of next, is how they are going to escape the country and avoid being lynched when the banks officially go bust and the whole thing collapses around us.
Actually, they've probably thought of that already.
