Hi I have gotten internet tethering to work and funnily its faster than my cabled broadband. Isnt it great to live in the countryside. So I am wondering if I should not scrap the cabled broadband altogether and just go with the data allowance.

question is: Has anybody shared their tethered broadband connection across a WLAN router. The tethered computer is osX leopard and the other PC would be a dell with vista or come across a tutorial for this.

    Thanks

It is possible to share a normal LAN based modem (ADSL) in Windows by setting up the connection so that it can be shared with other users. I did this a few years ago and it was fairly straight-forward.

I then pluged a wireless access point into the computer using a USB/LAN adaptor - hey presto, all my computers could access the net through one computer.

If you are having any difficulty then I suggest that you use the help section on your computer
