I thought it would be a good idea to make a 'Help Thread' to prevent the Junior Cert 2011 thread get clogged-up. [By me ]

Basically, you can use this thread to seek help from fellow Boardsies. If you're stuck on your homework, ask for help here. If you don't understand something, ask here. If you have any question at all, just ask here and I'm sure someone will be able to help you.

Good luck, and I hope we all get what we want come June!

Nobody here will be doing anyone's homework for them, but genuine questions, go ahead.

That's not exactly what I meant. For example, I was having trouble with my French homework last week, and Colm kindly explained the negative to me, but he didn't tell me the answers?

Might aswell throw this in here...

How do you say "for no reason" in Irish? As in I want to say, "Tugann sé íde béil dom gach lá [for no reason]."

I suppose you could probably say

Tugann sé íde béil dom gach lá ach, ní raibh réasún aige

Instead of for no reason it's he had no reason

Direct translation from English rarely works in Irish. It might be best to find another way to say what you mean.

for no reason - I don't know why

To point you in the right direction:

    Sein
    ich war, du warst, usw.

    Haben
    ich hatte, du hattest, usw.

    Bitte schon.

The best way to say that is probably 'Tugann sé íde béil dom gan chúis ar bith'.
