Hey, I’m in fifth year and thinking of becoming a geologist. So just wondering what the course is like and is there much work out there?

Hey I take it that you're in 6th year now? I did Geology in Trinity...now doing a phd in it. Good hands on course with lots of fieldtrips. As work goes its one of the better sciences for getting a job in the end

Mining, oil, hydrogeology, engineering geology etc. Lots of jobs out there.

UCD have a great setup too and there fieldtrips always work out cheaper!!
