Some recommendations needed please :).......... I'm looking for somewhere to go end of Dec for 10-12 days. Somewhere fairly festive (some snow maybe) would be nice but at the same time I want to be able to do and see things every day so I was thinking that a very Christian area might be a no-go. I've done loads of web searches but 99% of what I came across was geared towards family hols at Xmas. I'm kind of leaning towards Canada or the USA because of the religious diversity (I presume things don't come to a standstill at Christmas) but I'll consider anywhere. All ideas much appreciated!

    Have you considered Germany?

There's many beautiful cities there, especially around Christmas with the markets ect.

Very festive but not religious if you get me.

There's a large topic on here somewhere all about it.

Thanks for reply judas101. Thing is I've travelled extensively around Germany and although I'm not opposed to going back there, I'd like to go somewhere different. I'm kind of looking to zone in on either central or eastern Europe / USA / Canada.
