Backing up SHSH on iPhone 3GS running 4.01

    Hi,

I'm trying to backup the SHSH blob for my 3GS. I did this before when I was on 3.1.3 using AutoSHSH and it worked really well. Can I use it again to backup the blob for 4.0.1?

It keeps referring to 3.1.2/3.1.3 so I'm wondering if it needs to be updated for each new version. Google only seemed to point me to blogs discussing the spirit jailbreak for 3.1.3.

Also, how do I backup in Cydia? I can't find it anywhere although it says "This device has SHSHs on file for iPhone OS/IOS 3.1.2, 3.1.3, 4.0, 4.01, 4.02"

I never upgrade to 4.02 though

    Thanks.

when ya click make my life easier it saves the blobs for ur current firmware, as long as apple are still signing it
any new firmware is automatically backed up as its released

Cydia has the files backed up for you, do you want them locally?
If you are restoring just point your hosts to cydia instead of apple and you will be able to restore to any version it has saved files for .

You can't back up 4.0.1 anymore because apple are not signing it. They are only signing 4.0.2 now so that is all cydia could back up for you.

If cydia is telling you it has the blobs for 4.01 then you can install 4.01
