The Bacon / Egg muffin meal is normally €3.80 in Swords.

    You're not special. :p

I think it's a standard 3.80 for the meal deal (Egg or Bacon Muffin, hash brown & beverage). It's really sad that I know that.

Actually i found out a few weeks ago that prices can be different from branch to branch. Thought it was strane but is for the case for some reason, ok might be only 40cent in the differance, but still

I am special (my ma says so).

I know it's pricier in Santry (maybe €4.4 but I'm not sure) so I didn't put it in my post.

They also take vouchers from BK or competitors. They just don't advertise it- if you ask them they'll oblige, if they don't talk to a manager, they will!

Does it really matter? unless you are planning on tasting one with the thought of getting them in the future at full price -if not what difference does it make if it is usually €20 or €2.20.

There is a thread in consumer issues with a lad moaning about furniture shops having bogus offers, i.e. WAS €1000, NOW €500, when the same stuff is the same or cheaper elsewhere. I just look at the current price and decide if it is good value or not.

I see people in supermarkets blindly filling up trolleys with (non)offers just because a big sign tells them its a good deal.

No need for a separate thread for this one, as I guess readers on this thread could also be interested in this:

    Yes it does.
I don't know how much these cost normally as a non-customer of McDonalds and therefore don't know if €2 for a breakfast product is a bargain alert. As another poster pointed out €2 is a good deal for a coffee with the other stuff thrown in.
For €2 I might be tempted into the realm of the golden arches.. see advertising does work

Same as myself - tempted to take the plunge and go under those golden arches. ;)

Wow, you really are a marketing mans dream!

So if it usually was €20 is it even more of a bargain?

I feel sorry seen gullible suckers falling for the bogus offers in supermarkets, and those suckers who believe they are getting an amazing deal with BOGOF pizzas.

Lately I have seen supermarkets upping prices a lot more, just for the legal limit of time and then announcing "big price cuts". Again- I just look at the current price and determine if it sounds like good value. I do not fall prey to the scumbag marketers who treat people like utter idiots.

Ah you got out of the wrong side of the bed this morning.

€2 for a McDonalds breakfast meal is a good deal.

Not good for your health probably though.

Is it possible to get these without printing them?
Will they take the voucher or let you hold on to it, considering they are valid till year end?

    :D

Hopefully this isn't like the BK vouchers where some people had problems getting them to accept ones that they had printed off themselves. Can anybody report back on successfully using the McD's ones here? In particular B&W rather than colour printouts?

that's strange how else you supposed to get them off the computer these ones come directly from mac Donalds website so only option is to print

Some people previously reported problems with BK accepting the vouchers that they had printed off. Go figure! :(

Used them in McD's in Lucan over the weekend. The lady said that she had never seen these vouchers before - had a good read of the small print on them, and then gave me my breakfast! Thanks OP

Worked fine in Waterford today. They didn't seem to know where I got them but when I told them off McDonalds.ie, they happily accepted but not without the usual glare that you get anywhere when producing a coupon!

Just had breakfast in McD in Dungarvan and wish I had one of these vouchers! For the record they charge €4.20 for a McMuffin Breakfast and an extra 20c for a Grande Coffee!

Worked fine in the one on the corner of Mary/Jervis Streets this morning. Yum! :p

Burger King ftw. Sausage egg and cheese bap with hash browns and drink: €2.49 no voucher required. 99c for the bap on it's own.
They cook them fresh for you unlike McDonalds where you get 'one I prepared earlier'
