In theory yes, but my local Casino would take a different view after the amount I left on the Blackjack Table lastnight, and last Sunday, and last Saturday :pac:

spose ill boost this up again... so does anybody know much about the poker society? whats the buy in usually? is there cash games? many in it? thanks.....

Why don't you guys just put up a few posters around campus advertising - 'twould probably garner more interest.

I know the auditor, the buy ins are usually between 10 and 20 with most/all the money going towards prizes.

There are tournaments every week or two, the soc was massive a couple of years ago but seems to have gotten a little smaller since. There are still loads of people at games though, which makes the prizes pretty sweet.

AFAIK, sweet, cold, hard cash in hand... Hence the popularity with students :)

Download a poker client such as "fulltiltpoker" or "PokerStars" and play in their free-money games.

Just hop on socs.nuigalway.ie and hit the clubs and socs tab. You can sign up to whatever club or soc you want there. Then you'll get the emails tellin ya when the meetings are on.
