When you buy mids new, don't fill them full straight away. Also a bit of silicone oil always helps. :)

I wouldn't bother oiling mags unless they were jamming. Most feed issues are to do with a loose mag fit against the hop unit, getting oil all over your bb's doesn't sound very useful, this is one piece of advice I never understood, oil in barrel, hop, on bb's isn't a good thing for airsoft.

ive had some bad experriences with mids and has kind of put me off them but i know some events dont allow hicaps so dont want to get use to them.

the only one ive had luck with was a KA m14 metal mag.

the proble i had with others is that the spring gets stuck and it wont feed to the gun:( suggestions

    What mag is it?

Sometimes oil will fix it, sometimes its a burr inside the mag catching on something that needs filing down.

You could try oil but its not the miracle fix all in every situation.

i got three replacement mags for the ak and 5 for the M4 but dont want them to end up like the last ones

Do you unload them after a game? Otherwise the spring weakens.

Generally mids work fine if kept away from masses of dirt, any trouble and most are easy enough to open up or you could just do the whole silicon oil job, I never have myself and only use mids.
