    Hi Guys

Need a sling for my KWA G36 C. I dont know where to start. Obviously need something comfortable . Like the idea of single point, do these come in bungee?

Looking for experience / feedback with ones you have. Get some ideas before i have a gander.

    Pros / Cons

    Cheers

Single point bungee slings are the best job for G36's of any variant, particularly the C. I use then on virtually all of my rifles anyway, but the sling point position on the G36 really makes it ideal for single point use.
It's comfortable, practical and the least cumbersome of your options. I recommend it.

Ive just read up on the MagPul single - double point sling. this one looks ideal. although no bungee.

Got one of these myself. Can be used as a standered 2 point or 1 point. Great sling and is bungee. :)

I prefere 2 point. But thats just personal preference. I find it suports my MP5 better.

Is the one in the photo bungee? where does the single point attach. maybe its a wrong image.

Well its not bungee in the picture but when i got it, it was bungee. I just used it as a makeshift 1 point by attaching both ends to the same sling hook. :)

I got myself this sling about 4 months ago, and it is still as good as new. I have no problem running around a skirmish all day with this supporting my rifle.

IMO - the gun cost me some pretty pennys, so paying 20 quid for its safety belt i wouldnt deem as a rip off. especially if it lasts you 18 plus months....

Although expensive, it is the piece of equipment you use to protect your expensive AEG/GBB. I know I'd prefer to spend €50 on a sling, than have to shell it out on repairs and THEN buy the better sling on top of it...and that's a good scenario. Worst case is it's beyond repair, you buy a new AEG/GBB and then the better sling to protect it :D

So yeah, I'm very much in favour of the better and more durable slings :D

    i have one of these
    TMVeagleTypeA550.jpg
and i find it grand, just be aware of where you put stuff so the sling doseant catch on anything if u let it drop to transision [sp]

you can thread the ms2 thro some vest so the weight is on your sholders/vest not on the edge of you sholder/neak.would need to show u in person to explain better.

when useing a single if you are right handed you want the sling over your left sholder and the stock should be just below your chin
    might better explain

sorry if u know this allready just trying to be informitive :)

If you have pouches high up on the plate carrier you might have to shift them around as the ms2 comes accross the chest diagonally.

one word of warning..unless you have something similiar to this already on your AEG you won't be able to switch hands etc..

Not really? Unless you have the sling tightened to the last...

That link is to RSov Express, where they tack a shipping fee onto the price.
You probably got yours from RSov.com ?

Em, well, it was, until the mettle bit snapped off completely last week. In fairness though, it was holding my Sig 556 and my arms resting on it, so it had a good few months while it lasted.

I think i'll try the Magpul slings next

Do try them. I'd trust attaching it to something, and hanging off an edge, it holding my whole weight. It's rugged, strong and durable. Yes...all effectively synonyms of each other, but it is that good. I cannot recommend it enough

Were did you get your Magpul Sling ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,152 ✭✭✭Inari

I picked it up from Hobby Airsoft last week :)

In general Id recommend a good 3 point sling, you can use them as a 2 point and even make it into a 1 point if you want.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,143 ✭✭✭hoplite

I prefer a single point sling myself if I'm using an M4 and I have used two and three point slings on M4s and other AEGs as well. I have a Magpul MS2 sling but to be honest have rarely used it preferring a bog standard single point bungie sling.

I have an Irene Adaptive sling on the way at the moment see youtube clip. Developed by airsofters (boo hiss not very authentic until we see a navy seal using it :) ) but I like the concept behind it and it addresses some of the things I did not like about the MS2 sling. (heresy against the church of magpul sorry)

Well I'll just have to see if it does what it says on the tin after a skirmish or two.

That seems like a really good sling, do you know of any shops that sell it in ireland.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,143 ✭✭✭hoplite

Probably not at the moment but if they become popular you might see them appearing in the shops like the magpul sling has.

Its $29 to buy and $7 shipping to Ireland. Use the contact link below and they will email you back promptly with a paypal invoice.

Just purchased my own, priced at €15 from Dundalk Airsoft. Thats only one outlet, sure, but I'm sure if you take the time to stop in at a retailer somewhere, there's a strong chance you'll find one. (plus it's good to get into shops to talk to the owners & skirmishers there) This internet buying leaves a lot to be desired. :P

For such a weighty AEG, bungee slings are probably moot. As such, you maybe looking for something like this: http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/real-sword-type-97-gun-sling.html Thick, strong & sturdy. Although I'm sure the other chaps in here have much more to add. . .

For pure durability and robust-ness...I cannot fault the Magpul MS-2. It's a great sling, which can be used single point (it's primary design focus), or as a two-point sling. It locks firmly into place, the clips are strong, and the material is solid as. I really cannot praise it enough.

I got mine in Hobby Airsoft. It costs €36, which I'd consider expensive for an accessory, but I know it will last, and it feels so solid that I wholeheartedly believe it was worth every cent.
