Appealing Speeding Ticket

    Hi Guys,

Was out with my brother last week, passed a GATSO van on Cork Street, Dublin, and it flashed. It was either our car or the one in front.

Now the thing is, we were only travelling at roughly 60km/h, similar to the vehicles in front but their is no speed limit signs anywhere on this road. The last Speed limit sign I picked up was back on the Long Mile Road, 10minutes drive away - saying 50km/h, as there are schools here. Now if a fine comes through the door for him, would it be worth appealing on the basis 60km/h is the normal for such an open road as their were no speed limit signs to indicate otherwise? He has photographed the whole route from the Long Mile Road to Cork Street where the van was, as evidence no speed signs were erected at the time.

    Any help appreciated.
