    Hello all,
I have a retainer (the kind that's clear plastic, molded to the shape of your teeth) it's been a bit of a mad week and I've had it with me in the bag in its case and unfortunately (I know it's disgusting, I HATE it myself) I haven't got a chance to clean them.. Now, I can deal with the rather odd taste and annoying taste. But, when I went to put them on tonight, I noticed something moving on them.. Presumed it was just saliva and looked closer to see what was going on and what did I see only three little wormlike creatures. Each about 1-2mm long and a really pale yellow colour.
Suffice it to say I'll be cleaning them very f***ing thoroughly every night from now on, no matter what! But, can anyone help me here by shedding a bit of light on a) what are they? b) should I be worried? and c) what ahould I do?

You shouldnt worry too much. Clean several times a day with warm soapy water. dont use bleach or hot water with that type of retainer

thats disgusting, howwver warm water and even clean with soap and mouthwash will do the job, you should keep a small bottle of milton baby bottle wash at home. if this happens again, clean and leave it in milton with warm water for a bit. Milton has to be 100% effective as its for new babies bottles. best thing to use.
