    Suddenly HUAWEI "Failed to create phone-book entry"

    Getting this message with my O2 modem on the laptop running windows 7

    I can use the mdem on the netbook on XP

    suddenly - working fine for passed year

    i see a fix in huawei forum but I couldnt locate the file they mentioned etc


    any one got a solution ?


    I googled some but seem to be vista/xp

    I have no idea what your talking talking about but obvious suggestions is have you contacted O2 if it is a problem with their equipment? I'm pretty certain they would be obliged to replace/fix it.

    I tried some googled remedies but 4 months later no look

    gorgeous dell 1740 lying idle

    any ideas would be VERY much appreciated

    works on netbook xp, netbook windows 7 , and desktop vista

    the lappie is 1764 dell running windows 7 premium

    If you haven't done it yet, reinstall the O2 modem, whenever mine gave me trouble it always worked but I never used the phonebook part myself.

    Go to file below & delete the folder Pbk. Put your name where I have the xxxxx
    Reboot & try again.
    C:\Users\xxxxx\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Network\Connections\Pbk
