Friggin' Timetables!

Ok, maybe this is simple and I'm getting lost in a really small bush, but listen up: they gave us the course lists yesterday, told us to get the timetables at the departments (but there was no one at the English dept. yesterday except for Dr. John Kenny), today and tomorrow the offices are closed (not every single one, but many are) AND the lectures are starting on Monday...
How are we supposed to get them before Monday?

Now, sorry for the little rant. If anyone actually knows how to find the timetables for the English and/or the French departments, I would be very very grateful.

Quote for English:"INTRODUCTORY LECTURES ARE TAKING PLACE THIS WEEK on Tuesday 14 September, 1-2, Thursday 16 September, 5-6 and Friday 17 September, 1-2 in the O’Flaherty Theatre." (First Years)

"THE INTRODUCTORY LECTURE FOR 2BA ENGLISH WILL TAKE PLACE IN THE O'FLAHERTY THEATRE AT 5PM ON MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 6TH. ALL 2BA STUDENTS SHOULD ATTEND."

"THE INTRODUCTORY LECTURE FOR 3BA/4BA STUDENTS WILL TAKE PLACE IN THE O'FLAHERTY THEATRE AT 4PM ON MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 6TH"

And try http://www.nuigalway.ie/french/First_Arts.html (or whichever year you are - try the Information for Undergraduates tab on the left..) for the french?

I forgot to say that I'm a visiting (Erasmus) student... I don't know if those dates are valid, I just hope so.

    Hi Lukja
You should go first to the following website for English:
    http://www.nuigalway.ie/english/visiting_students.html

You’ll see that you can pick courses from Second Year and Final Year options.
Cross-check courses from your Visiting Students’ booklet with the Year in which they’re offered. For example, if you wish to take EN265, you go to the second year information at http://www.nuigalway.ie/english/2ba.html. In the description for EN265, the times are listed at the end of the module description (in this case Mondays 5-6 in O’Flaherty Theatre and Tuesdays 3-4 in Kirwan Lecture Theatre).
On Page 13 of your booklet you can freely select any of the modules listed, provided there is no timetable clash with other modules (say French ones) that you wish to take. This will only become clearer as you start selecting.
The list on page 14 are Seminars. Note that most seminars are offered in both semesters. Numbers in seminars are more restricted and you can only register for ONE seminar per semester, subject to your timetable and availability of module. You need to register for this.
The big notice on the English Visiting Students’ webpage (http://www.nuigalway.ie/english/visiting_students.html) makes reference to when you need to pick a seminar. If you can make up your credits without picking a seminar, or have no interest in picking one, then you can ignore this notice about seminar registration.
For French, you’ll have to do something similar – look at page 19 of your booklet and work out which courses you are interested in taking. To find out the times of classes, you may need to do a little detective work. Again, if a module is a second year one, eg FR262 French Literature and Culture 3, then you can find the module content and times of classes on the 2BA information at http://www.nuigalway.ie/french/Second_Arts.html
It’ll take a week or two to fill up your timetable, and you may have to forego certain modules because of clashes. You’ll look back in three weeks and laugh at how easy it actually is!
    Enjoy!
