This has to be, by far, the best zombie game available (on xbox anyway)
proper classic zombies, loads of weapons, the ability to combine two objects to make new weapons, having to scavenge for parts and helping other survivors.

This is just a prequel to Dead Rising 2 so I cant wait for the real thing.

Anyone else played it? What are your opinions?

great fun, got it friday afternoon.
proper slow moving zombies, gives you a false sense of security when you're running through packs of them with ease, then suddenly get grabbed and pinned down by an overweight zombie. Ingenious weapon ideas and special moves with almost every weapon. pure gruesome hilarity.

The missions and timer are a pain in the hole but even if you fail them you can keep playing in a semi-freeworld. You can also keep your experiance points and level and start from the beginning again giving yourself a massive advantage.

Worth the 40quid i paid for it deffo :)

Yeah, and the saving set up takes some getting used too. It's a game I will play once I finish it as I am trying to save as many peeps as I can. Although sadly I have had to kill the ones that annoy me :P

What console you playing it on?

by the way.. have you seen the electric chair? i near shat myself laughing at that :D

I saw the videos on youtube and considered getting it but it looked like it was a one trick pony that could become repetitive pretty quick.

Might make a nice change of pace from ARMA2 games that I've been trying to play. If ever there's a series that could use some Zombie updates it's that series.

I hated this about the first game, so much so that I gave up on it pretty early in. As I understand it they have given you more save slots but I hated having to keep going to a security room to save. That plus Otis:mad:

I don't get that issue at all. So what about the save system. No one ever play the Res Evil games. You had to first find an ink ribbon and then a typewriter to save your game and no one complained about that.

You can save in an bathroom or security room in both games. A good idea me thinks. Its too easy if you can just save where ever you want like most games these days.

The Dead Rising games are class. I still prefare the 1st one overall.

True but that was nearly a decade ago, games have come along way since then. I would have preferred it if you could nip into any shop and saved your progress instead of backtracking trying to find a handy toilet. Each to their own I suppose.
