KFC- There's a hair in my...drink

About a month ago, me and my mate were in KFC in blanchardstown shopping centre. And after waiting 15 minutes for our meal, half way through it my mate bit into his burger and there was a black wirey hair inside the bun and i laughed my arse off while trying not to get sick. We got 2 free burgers in exchange and half ate them and left. We have stayed off KFC since then, but today we hit the one in liffy valley and all was going fine until i finished my drink, usually i like to eat the ice after my meal but when i looked down into the cup, there was a long black hair stuck to the wall of my cup. It was my mates turn to laugh his bollo off and we just left after that, him still laughing and me trying not to heave.

Is this just a KCF thing or are we just that unlucky, dont remember seeing it on them menu

Meh.. people want fast food and the people preparing it happen to have hair. I'm not sure if there's any regulation that states that hair nets should be worn but there ought to be. I've found a hair in my food the odd time.. still ate the food though.. what's the worst that can happen?

Today's one wasn't, the last one definitely looked very pubescent. That one was actually baked into the burger

Yeh but anytime anybody asks he denies it was a pube, even though it was black, thick and wirey, maybe thats how normal hair looks when its baked:P

You could choke, someone would shout "Is there a doctor about?" then Dr Pepper would turn up, wrongly perform the heimlich manouvre, and you'd die!

That's gross, complain. Although an odd hair probably isn't as unhealthy as their actual food.

Hairnets and beard snoods should be worn by all staff involved in the preparation of food.

If you get a hair in your food you should always complain, and you shouldn't eat it.
Human hair in your food may indicate a low standard of hygiene in the premises.
Human hair carries bacteria, it may also carry cigarette smoke, hairspray, gel or other cosmetic preparations and god forbid but you may get the hair from someone who just isn't into proper personal hygiene.

Always complain, but do it in a polite manner, the chances are that the manager will be delighted to offer you a refund/vouchers/new meal in exchange for you pointing out a breach in regulations.

It might be just a once off event but if its a consistent problem, they may have a rogue worker that contaminates food on a regular basis, the complaint helps the food industry to police themselves.

I wouldn't be surprised by the KFC at Blanchardstown as I've been in there a couple of times and it's a filthy, very poorly managed eatery.

I once found a hair in a chocolate kimberly, complained to Cadburys and they sent me two of those big 24-square bars and a box of biscuits. I could have been bull****ting them for all they knew. lol
