    Hi everyone,

Hope this question hasn't been answered before! I was told recently that I may be harbouring a very minor case of tachycardia or arythmia, but it requires further investigation from the doctor.

I was just wondering if my chances of getting into the guards would decrease if it turned out I did have either of those conditions.

I'm pretty healthy and I practise martial arts regularly, so I couldn't imagine it ever affecting my ability to be a good guard.

I'd appreciate it if you could let me know!

    Hey TrollHammaren, welcome :D

In my opinion no one here would be able to answer this correctly except the Garda Medical Department. I dont have the Garda Medical Department number but the number of Garda HQ is 01-6660000 and they will transfer you call to the medical department. As this is a complex question it may be only the Garda Medical Officer that can answer it but either way the Garda Medical department will be able to obtain an answer to your query. If you need anymore help PM me,

    Best of luck,

    Tommy-Kerry ;)
