Tony from Mid West Airsoft was kind enough to get
    me these lovely little things.

Some ACM M945 that just looked nice.
And a WE M92F in Gold.

    €130 for the M945 and €170 for the M92F.
Even though the M945 shows fireing over 1j on the Rsov pics
tis ringing in at 230fps and the M93F is about 260fps.
    (With 134a)

The M945 "feels" very different to other pistols when you pick it up. The slide on the spring feels lighter and the slide
itself seems to rack/slide very lightly and fast. It sounds different too when you rack the slide. The metal on the slide has a slight ring to it when you tap it, unlike the dull thud you hear some of the heavier metal slides.

One of the reasons I wanted this was as I wanted a metal
chrome coloured pistol, and the slide with its fish scale like grips looked a little different. Not sure what the circle on the slide is, it looks like something was supposed to go there or a little blank.

View from the other side, with some form of Trads for Smith and Wesson. The handgrip is plastic but actually looks OK for an el-cheapo gun.

When you cock the hammer it locks into place and sits
into a slot cut for it on top of the Beaver Tail safety grip
which I thought was pretty neat.

I'm not too familiar with adapters but it was mentioned
that the groves cut into the barrell may be for adding
a silencer adapter, if so I must do some googleing.

The Magazine release buttom sticks out a fair bit.
    m945-7.jpg

Open her up and inside she's as dry as bin laden's sandals
the slide spring is not the best but other than that things
look pretty standard. You will notice on the inside of the frame of the gun the silver/chrome colour in some parts is
starting to look more brass like than a copper colour shows through.

I HATE this style of magazine though. I filled it and got
one shot out of it, very difficult to get the mag to fill fully.
And I've had the same issue with 4 other similar mags!
    from different guns.

This can be seen on a chip taken out on the trigger too,
its the same colour as Copper? which is a very soft metal,
could they really be using Copper??? Brass is harder and brighter than the colour we see here so it could not be brass.

The M92F made by WE is better than I expected.
The finish is smooth and almost like there is some
form of protective lacquer layer over it. Solid piece without
any wobbles or anything. And the black areas are a matt powder painted finish. Its got Trads on both sides.
It also as some form of threading on the inner barrell. (not sure if it is actual threading or just cosmetic)

Fireing it is amazing!! It was hitting the same spot
over and over again and had less variance with the shots
like you see normally on pistols. The Magazine fills flawlessly.

How much for the M945 - I was admiring it on RSOV. What's performance like...fire nice?

On the real one, some sort of dowel fits in there, you can see it on images, so you are right bullets.

Its nice to see a different .45 style pistol out though, looks well in a holster I'd say.

both my M9a1 and 1911 have that style of threading on the inside of the outer barrell. This does allow for silencers to be attached. though i find the silencer suits the 1911 better than the m9a1 :(
