    Hey guys,
I got quoted €300 to update the OEM sat nav in my subaru legacy, are there any cheaper ways of doing this without buying the likes of a Tom Tom?

If you're looking for a new disc, i'd try eBay or the owners forums first.

Already have but to no avail :(

So i assume its just a dvd used to update it? Any boardsies have one lying around?

    You could try here: http://uklegacy.com/forums/index.php

    or here:

(remember, this is mainly a US site)

Edit: BTW, you need to keep the DVD in the unit - just getting a loan of one won't do. :-)

Who quoted that much? If it was a dealer, then you will probably get it a lot cheaper online, for example, a 2010 DVD upgrade for a 2007 Legacy is €249 from Navteq

Don't mean to hijack the thread but I have similar issue with my A4, heading to France at the end of the month and my Sat Nav only caters for IRL and UK roads.

Is there anyway to have the software updated, again as xp90 said, I'd rather not buy a Tom Tom or the likes.
