Hey, I was handbraking one of my dvd's today and when i was about half way through the rip there was a weird scraping sound coming from the mac, i first thought that it was the hard drive failing so restarted the mac and found the sound is from the disc drive, Would any one here have any idea on how to fix this problem or…

Hey,
I was handbraking one of my dvd's today and when i was about half way through the rip there was a weird scraping sound coming from the mac, i first thought that it was the hard drive failing so restarted the mac and found the sound is from the disc drive,

Would any one here have any idea on how to fix this problem or would i have to get it repaired

The mac was bought in may/june and nothing like this has happened before

If i put in a disc it comes out perfect, i thought it was scratching the disc's
