Whilst using phone this evening it drained completly of power, so plugged it in to wall for 2 hours and still I'm getting the 'very low battery' image, Googled the issue and there seems to be a bit of quirkiness about this, suggest was to reset it i.e. holding down the sleep and homebutton, but its not doing anything for me i.e. same low battery image, tried leaving it plugged in whilst rebooting laptop, but same messgae, so it not charging from wall & usb points

Anyone experience this and found a solution?

Have you tried it with a different USB lead?

Yep, from my i-pod lead also used a Bose sound dock, same thing i.e. nothing

Just making sure you weren't clueless, the first step in tech support.

hmm, is it still showing the very low image, or does it show the charge icon.

Have you tried putting it in dfu mode? I think it could be a firmware issue.

Plugged in via adapter over night, but still no charge

Phone has 4.01 firware on it, its not jailbroken

When I hold Power/Home buttons all I see is below image for 2/3 seconds

Itunes doesn't see my phone when its connected

DFU mode, not sure what that is, but doing a google brought me to enter this command line via Start-Run "c:/dfu/dfu iBSS.m68ap.RELEASE.dfu", but windows couldn't find it

Final got to the stage where I can power it on/off, with home screen etc, except it still won't charge, still see no lightning bolt top right. Showing 6% juice, which must mean it charged somewhat as it was 0% last night, although we me turning on/off thats now down to 4%. Brought it to Vodafone this AM, won't work on their cable either so it wasn't the cable, they suggested for me to send it back, although have to do it with where I sourced it

I decided one last throw of the dice, went in to my office where I leave my 'original' USB lead, plugged it in a hey presto it worked!. I bought a couple of these last week, so that I wouldn't be left short and despite what these say in terms of compatibility, they don't work on the iphone 4, unless I'm reading what they work on totally wrong
