Can anyone recommend any books, CDs, DVDs that are good for learning French please?

I am going back to college (doing the leaving cert) in a week and will be doing French, but it's been 3-4 years since I last did French.

    Thanks.

You can get a CD of phrases you load onto your iPod to learn the most common phrases, thats good

Also, theres a verbs book called Bescherelle, its really useful, get that!

Otherwise just practice translations and the basics

I'm sure your course will assume your startin from scratch anyways

    Good luck :)

Try Michel Thomas I've been using it and have noticed a marked improvement in my French. He uses the similarities between French and English to make it easier to learn.
