I'm a Meteor PAYG customer already. Does this offer mean I can buy one of these O2 PAYG phones (HTC Smart, etc.), then port over the number to Meteor and get a better deal than my current plan (free calls & texts to meteor only)?

Anyone ever successfully unlocked a HTC Smart??

Thats what i did when i was changing to bill pay. Walked into O2, ported over, walked next door to meteor as a "new" customer and bobs your uncle.

yes and after you port over, do a number swap from your old number to your new 086 number and hey presto, you are now on meteor with this offer using your existing number
