Hey folks, just went looking for a room to rent 2day saw a lovely house and i told the landlord i would take it,He then tells me he cant give me the room yet until another few people see it and dat i wouldnt know until next TUESDAY or WEDNESDAY like WTF, Considering half the country is unemployed and on rent allowance,i was offering the landlord money straight up and basically he slapped me in the face, I told him straight up i was looking at other houses and would have something by the weekend and if i didnt hear something by from him by 2morro forget it. Like if i was in his position and was offered straight cash i would have taken the hand off him an all.Fairly pissed off now dont even think i would take the house now even if he rang me offering it !!!!

It's the landlords place, they choose the tenant
Anyway, you are only renting a room, it's not like you are renting the entire place

That's a common practice, he might have few other appointments and then to decide whom to give the keys.
EG: Professional are given the priority than students etc.

This guy comes up to me & says I'll take it.

I looks him up & down and says, well there are a few other people coming to look at it as well. Personally I didn't like the cut of his jib and he was talkin some jive turkey
