Hi, I was born and live in NI but will be staying in Dublin during my course. Tuition fees are being paid by a scholarship but i have to pay my own accommodation and transport fees. I have worked out that I will need an extra 8,000 to 10,000 per year to cover rent etc.

Am I entitled to any student loans or grants or should I look for the best bank loan?

as an eu citizen you are entitled to apply for tuition fees only.......maybe i am reading entitled to mean you though you could automatically get a maintenance grant:confused:

You can use the NI student finance loans system and you should look to that.

I have applied for that but I'm not 100% sure that I can get that.
I want to check that I'm getting all the grants etc. that I'm entitled to. As for the loan... How much will they give me since I'm not paying the tuition fees myself? Rent in Dublin is more than double rent in Belfast etc.
