    Hi there,

I've been told that Nerja is a nice place for a relaxing few days for herself and meself, but that there is a toursity/ex-pat strip at one end of the town. I just don't know which one it is and would prefer to avoid staying there if possible. Would anyone have any Nerja accomodation recommendations or advice? I haven't been able to find any other thread on this.

    Many thanks

    P

Hi there, yes, Nerja is a great place for a break. I visit every year and love it!

The area you are referring to is probably Burriana Beach area ... which is the most popular beach in Nerja and you will quite a lot of tourists there.

If you prefer to stay in town, there are a number of hotels and hostels that you could look at. Alternatively, there are a number of residential areas on the outskirts of town that are popular.

Check out http://www.discover-nerja.com for some ideas on where to stay and what to do in Nerja.

    Hope this helps,
    Susana

    Hi There,

Just a couple of questions regarding Nerja. Myself and my boyfriend are heading over in July for wedding. The wedding is on in el salvador church in the balcon De Europa and the next day Bbq on Burriana Beach.
We are gonna go for the week and just wondering what are best most cost effective option would be for Accomadation. We would like to be close to the beach but not miles away from the town either so just wondering which is the best area and if anyone has any tips on hotels our apartments?
We where recommended Hotel De Flamenco, has anyone been there?

    Thanks :)
