    It could also be said that the Android logo looks like R2D2 or any number of similar shaped droids from loads of comics, games or movies. Meh.

    The mind boggles. How did Google think they could get away with using a logo that looks absolutely nothing like the one used in Gauntlet. Cheeky feckers.

    I think it bares more than just a passing resemblance particularly given that the Gauntlet character was called android. It does have very similar features. The biggest difference is it has more pixels :)
