water damage to laptop

    Folks
    I spilled a glass of water beside my dell inspiron laptop the other day and some water must have gotten in underneath the laptop and went in through the grille in the underside

    Not a squeak out of it it now, I get the power light but nothing on the screen

    Is she banjaxed of what?

    first open the laptop, remove battery,leave close to radiator ,let the laptop dry out.
    REMOVE BACK COVER,SO pcb is exposed, empty out any water.remove the keyboard.LET IT dry for a few days in a warm place.remove the hardrive.
    maybe tommorow use hairdryer gentle heat to dry it out.

    well, take battery out as first, use hairdryer to blow cold air inside for couple of hours and try then to power up
