Does anybody fancy getting together and playing this kind of music? I can't promise paid gigs but I can arrange gigs once the band are well rehearsed enough. I'm talking about getting together and playing some music that is challenging and different to just banging out your standard covers band repertoire. I'm a guitarist, as the ad says, and would like to hear from everyone and anyone who can play and thinks they would be up to having a go at this stuff. My background is varied, I studied music at undergrad and postgrad level and have played in a number of covers bands and classical music ensembles. My last band have drifted apart and I'm itching to get going again...Reply or PM and we'll try get something going!

    My ideal lineup is:

    Drums
    Keys
    Bass
    Horn Section
    Vox

Maybe some percussion too...Instrumentalists who aren't afraid to give singing backing vox a go is also a huge plus!

    Thanks guys!

    Hi Guys,

Sorry I just realised that I didn't include my location in the first post. I'm based in Dublin. Thanks for the replies so far.

    Hi,

I'm from Ringsend but I would propose rehearsing in The Rehearsal Rooms in The Blackpitts off Christchurch. What instrument do you play?

I'm a bass player. Have a drummer who may be interested also. Both in our 40's with 20+ years experience.

I'm a piano/keys player and this is my kind of music. PM me if you're getting something together.
