Alot of pension companies mantain that investing in foreign markets such as China, Africa, Americas, Pacific Rim etc are more riskier than European markets ? Market returns such as china is staggering are they really more riskier than European markets ? Or am i looking at this from the wrong point of view? Should i invest in the major companies listed on European markets which will or have picked the best invesment opportunities in non-European/North American MArkets ? Is there a bias in allocating one's fund outside of Europe?

Africa, Americas ( apart from Brazil) and Pacific Rim would be an absolute no no. Huge risk. Brazil,Russia,,India,China (BRIC) is still high enough risk.

You should think of the currency exposure too.
