Going out with a 16y.o I'm 17

Well I'm 17 and in 6th year. Gonna be 18 in October. Theres a girl I like and we get on really well. Shes 16 and not 17 until April. Shes in 5th year in another school. I never took a second thought of the age difference, but some of my mates are taking the piss sayings its sick and all that.

At the moment 17/16 it sounds fine but 18/16 sounds so much worse!

Whats peoples opinions?

Ha I haven't reacted at all to them taking the piss. Its just got me thinking when you hear 18/16 it does sound a bit dodgey but suppose thats only for a few months!

Its ok because you're only one school year above her, my other friend is 17, 18 in April an in 5th year, and her boyfriend is 18, in college and moved out, so I think he's too old for her because he's at such a different stage of his life.

My girlfriend is 15, im 17. What seems to be the problem? At the end of the day if you're happy with her, **** everyone else that has something bad to say. NOW GO GET HER TIGER ;D

They're just taking the piss for the sake of taking the piss, guys in school would always do that to eachother but at the end of the day they'd never interfere with the couple unless for a good reason, which a small age gap is not! Go for it op, shes more than likely as mature as you anyway :P

I'm 17, my girlfriend is also 17. I'm just 5 months older than her. I'm going off to college now, she's starting 5th year (she did TY, I didn't). Does that, by your logic, make me too old for her, despite being the same age? :P
